FAQ
We want to see you smiling happily! Having a healthy, beautiful smile influences your interactions with others. Having healthy teeth and a proper bite ensures proper speech, chewing, and good oral hygiene.
What is an orthodontist?
Orthodontists are specialists who diagnose, prevent and treat dental and facial irregularities to correctly align the teeth and jaw. After graduating from dental school as a general dentist, orthodontists go on to complete two to three years of specialized education in an accredited orthodontic residency program.
When is a good time for orthodontic treatment?
It is recommended to have an orthodontic evaluation for children at about age 7 or 8 to ensure the teeth are on track for healthy growth and to perhaps avoid more complicated treatment in the future.
Regardless, healthy teeth can be moved at any age. Patients can look forward to teeth that not only look better, but function better too.
